Cambodia’s Garment Export Nets $11B
Cambodia exported US$11,389 million worth of garment products in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 15 percent, according to a report from the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE).
Non-garment export was valued at US$4,542 million last year, up 45 percent compared to a year earlier, it added.
The report went on that the agricultural product export increased by 39 percent in value to US$2,817 million.
Breaking down, it pointed out, milled rice export was amounted to US$424 million, down 16 percent, while paddy rice export rose by 77 percent to US$826 million.
The export of rubber latex and other agricultural products increased by 46 percent and 68 percent, respectively to US$399 million and US$653 million, stated the report. AKP
