Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, said the national economic growth this year would be around 3 percent.

At the inauguration ceremony of Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh Hotel here this morning, PM Hun Sen said the national income before the COVID-19 outbreak is about US$700 million per month, but the figure dropped to some US$400 million during the pandemic. However, after the resumption of social and economic activities, the state’s income seems to be on positive trend.

“In the state budget law, this year’s economic growth has been forecasted at 2.4 percent, but with the positive trend at the end of 2021, our economic growth would be around 3 percent,“ he underlined.

PM Hun Sen encouraged all citizens and the private sector to work with the government to enhance our national economy, as tax and customs income started growing. AKP
