Another Overpass To Be Built in Phnom Penh

The Phnom Penh municipal administration has unveiled a new overpass construction project on Russian Federation Boulevard, at the intersection of Samdech Chaufea Veang Kong Sam Ol Street, so-called Street 2004.

The project was raised in a meeting held here on January 11, in the presence of H.E. Khuong Sreng, Phnom Penh Municipal Governor, Gen. Sar Thet, Phnom Penh Municipal Police Commissioner, officials of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, and representatives of Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation Ltd. (OCIC).

The municipal administration said that the construction will start in March 2022, taking 14 months to complete, just before the 2023 SEA Games hosted by Cambodia.

With two sides of roads connecting to the main overpass construction, it is 516 metres in length, while the main overpass is 234 metres long, 5.8 metres wide, and 5.5 metres hight.

Once completed, it will become the seventh overpass in Phnom Penh capital. AKP
