The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved six new investment projects with a total capital of nearly US$106.3 million.

According to a CDC’s press release issued this morning, the newly-approved projects cover the creation of food processing factory; laundry, dyeing and printing factory; PVC pipe fittings factory; pharmaceutical factory and electronic assembly factory; and the construction of a five-star hotel.

To be located in Preah Sihanouk, Kandal, Takeo, and Kampong Speu provinces, the six projects are expected to create a total of 1,852 jobs for the locals, it added.

Such investment amid the COVID-19 outbreak demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic.
