The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has issued investment certificates to three companies to invest in the production of all kinds of cardboard boxes, light bulbs and their accessories, all kinds of packaging materials, and metal processing.

The three new projects, which belong to H.R Enterprise Co., Ltd., Pinnacle Home Collection Co., Ltd., and Cambodian New Juihuan Trading Co., Ltd., are expected to create some 535 jobs for the locals, pointed out the CDC in an announcement.

With a total investment capital of US$15.2 million, the projects will be located in Kandal, Svay Rieng, and Preah Sihanouk provinces, it added.

Since early this month, CDC has given green light to 15 investment projects, including the above-said projects, with a total capital of more than $1.15 billion, generating some 7,000 job opportunities.

Such investment amid COVID-19 outbreak demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic. Phal Sophanith – AKP
