Cambodia to distribute two million facemasks to poor people in the capital and Siem Reap
Prime Minister Hun Sen Tuesday evening announced the distribution of an additional two million facemasks to poor people.
According to the National Television of Cambodia (TVK), one million masks are for Phnom Penh and the rest for Siem Reap province, the most affected by the Nov. 28 Community Event.
The decision is aimed to contribute urgently to preventing the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Nov. 11, the Royal Government of Cambodia also distributed 2 million facemasks to poor people in Phnom Penh.
As of Tuesday, there were in total 326 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia, of them 304 or 93.25 percent have successfully recovered with no fatal case. AKP
