Three investment projects worth $246 million approved, to create 1,500 jobs
The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to three new investment projects with a total investment capital of $246.1 million.
According to the council, the newly approved projects are expected to create some 1,547 jobs for the locals.
The three projects cover the processing of all kinds of fruits, the production and assembly of solar panels, and the development of an 80-megawatt hydropower project.
The projects belong to Cam M J Agricultural Co., Ltd., Hounen Solar Inc. Co., Ltd., and SPHP (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., in Kampong Speu, Kandal, and Pursat provinces, respectively.
Such investments amid the COVID-19 outbreak demonstrate the confidence of foreign investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic. Phal Sophanith/AKP
