Following the temporary closure of schools in Siem Reap town amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport launched e-Learning courses for the affected students.

In a press statement today, the ministry said the courses aim to support the studies of Grade 9 and Grade 12 students whose classes have been temporarily suspended.

The e-Learning program consists of free courses in Mathematics, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Literature and can be accessed via YouTube at www.youtube.com/moeys or Facebook at www.facebook.com/moeys.gov.kh. The courses will remain open for student access at any time, the ministry said.

Both public and private academic institutions in Siem Reap town faced temporary closures earlier this week as a preventive and containment measure against COVID-19. The move follows the COVID-19 diagnosis of a Cambodian man in Siem Reap province last week who is now in isolation at the Provincial Referral Hospital.
