The Secretariat of ICC-Angkor inspects the temple restoration projects in the Angkor site
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic from 2020, the ICC-Angkor was unable to hold its regular sessions. This has led to online meetings, and the adhoc experts on the committee’s work have only been able to remotely evaluate the progress of ongoing projects.
Similarly, in 2021, the Secretariat of ICC-Angkor will mobilize flexible mechanisms to help address the issues. Instead of having adhoc expert based abroad, the Secretariat of ICC-Angkor has invited foreign experts who are working at the sites in Angkor to consult with the APSARA National Authority’s experts who have been working in various fields.
Please be informed that the Secretariat of the ICC-Angkor will inspect the sites in Angkor for 2 days, 24-25 June 2021. After the inspection, the Secretariat of the ICC-Angkor will make a joint report to submit to the ICC-Angkor for further review and recommendation.
