In a TV interview today, Mr. Kith Sovannarith, First Deputy Director General of the General Department of Supervision of the National Bank of Cambodia totally rejected information posted on social media that the National Bank of Cambodia has announced 3,000,000 grants.

This information has been distributed on Facebook by means of a paid advert.

It is not known who is behind the advertising campaign

The First Deputy Director General said it was clearly a case of fraud as the National Bank of Cambodia has never had such a program.

He warned citizens to be careful and not to be misled by fraudulent claims.

The First Deputy Director General would like to confirm 3 points:

1- This is a case of fraud

2- The fraudulent Facebook account is not the Facebook account of the National Bank of Cambodia.

3- The National Bank of Cambodia does not have a Facebook account named Cambodia bank.

Therefore, the National Bank of Cambodia would like to declare that this information is a case of pure fraud and ask our people not to believe and not to send money or register at all.
