Canadia Bank was awarded the “Strongest Bank by Balance Sheet in Cambodia“ by The Asian Banker in a ceremony virtually held from Singapore on 25 Feb 2021.

According to The Asian Banker; “Canadia Bank has outranked its counterpart in terms of quality and sustainability of its Balance Sheet. During the current pandemic, Canadia Bank still kept its momentum and has made another record year to achieve strong profitability reflected by its high return on assets (ROA) and low cost of income ratio. The capital and liquidity buffers of the Bank remained strong. These, along with respective sound asset quality, enabled the Bank to demonstrate a strong Balance Sheet performance than its peers in Cambodia”.

The award ceremony also involved a dialogue with CEOs which included Canadia Bank and the winners from other Asia Pacific countries such as Bank of China (Hong Kong), Hong Leong Financial Group (Malaysia) and Vietcombank (Vietnam).

Mr Raymond Sia, CEO of Canadia Bank in his acceptance speech dedicated the award to all Canadia Bank employees in Head Office and 62 branches in Cambodia for their relentless hard work, Canadia Bank’s Customers; for their patronage, support and loyalty and also to the Chairman and the Board of Directors of their support and guidance.

Mr Raymond Sia further added “This award is more special this year as Canadia Bank is also celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year. Being one of the oldest and largest local commercial bank in Cambodia, we are honoured and proud to have served the banking needs of Customers and Community in Cambodia and we look forward to continue to innovate and serve our Customers’ banking needs”.
