Ministry of Health: Two new Covid-19 cases on Cambodian men who have just returned from Japan
On the morning of October 28, 2020, the Ministry of Health issued a press release on two new cases of the Covid-19, which are import cases.
The Ministry of Health has confirmed that 19 people with Covid-19 are:
A 34-year-old Cambodian man with an address in Ta Skor village, Sarika Keo commune, Lvea Em district, Kandal province.
A 23-year-old Cambodian man with a residence in Bakan district, Pursat province.
The two men were traveling from Japan, continuing their flight from South Korea to Cambodia on October 26, 2020.
Please note that the total number of passengers on the plane with the above patients was 39 (7 females), including the two males above. Thirty-seven passengers with negative Covid-19 test results were quarantined for 14 days at Pochentong High School, 11 at a hotel in Phnom Penh, five at a hotel, and 21 at another hotel in Phnom Penh.
Please be informed that as of 07:00 AM on October 28, 2020, Cambodia has a total of 290 people with Covid-19 (59 women and 231 men), of which the total number of people who have been cured. There are 283 people in the country and 7 patients at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh.
