15 Cambodian test positive of Covid-19 imported from Saudi Arabia
On Sunday, July 12, 2020, the Cambodian Ministry of Health issued a press release on the discovery of 15 new cases of Covid-19 imported from Saudi Arabia. As of today, the total number of recoveries is 133, while 23 out of 156 are being treated.
The 15 new cases are:
– A 26-year-old Cambodian man, living in Thmey Village, Popel Commune, Ponhea Krek District, Tbong Khmum Province.
– A 29-year-old Cambodian man, living in Phum D, Khum Kraing Chamre 2, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh.
– A 26-year-old Cambodian man with an address in Khleang Sbek village, Kampong Luong commune, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province.
– A 23-year-old Cambodian man with an address in Khleang Sbek village, Kampong Luong commune, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province.
– A 21-year-old Cambodian man with an address in Kampong Ampil village, Borey Chulsa commune, Borey Chulsa district, Takeo province.
– A 31-year-old Cambodian man, his address is Damnak Ampil Village, Dar Commune, Tbong Khmum District, Tbong Khmum Province.
– A 29-year-old Cambodian man with an address in Lower Deer Village, Boeung Lom Commune, Tbong Khmom District, Tbong Khmum Province
– A 24-year-old Cambodian man with an address in Beng Thmey village, Cedar commune, Tbour district, Tbong Khmum province
– A 30-year-old Cambodian man with an address in Kompong Ampil village, Borey Chhlak Sreir commune, Takeo province
– A 27-year-old Cambodian man is located in Thnout village, Pong commune, Chhlong district, Kratie province
– A 21-year-old Cambodian man with an address in village D, Chrang Chamrerey II commune, Russey Keo district, Phnom Penh
– A 28-year-old Cambodian man with an address in Chroy Mantry village, Chroy Mantry commune, Muk Kampoul district, Kandal province.
– A 33 year old Cambodian man with an address in village 6, Rokar Khnor commune, Krouch Chhmar district, Tbaung Khmum province
– A 26-year-old Cambodian man, address is Cheung Tung Village, Cheung Tung Commune, Tbong Khmum District, Tbong Khmum Province.
– A 22-year-old Cambodian man, address is Chi Moan Village, Krek Commune, Krek District, Tbong Khmum Province.
The 15 men were from Saudi Arabia, continuing their flight from Malaysia to Cambodia on July 10, 2020 at 17:25 pm, the ministry added. Analysis of the samples by the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge has shown positive results for the Covid-19 and all the patients are currently being admitted to Chak Angre Clinic in Phnom Penh.
Seventy-one passengers, who had a negative test result of the Covid-19, were given a 14-day quarantine at a center in Phnom Penh.
The ministry said the flight had a total of 94 passengers (three females and one Malaysian man), and 80 of which were from Saudi Arabia.
