The Ministry of Health said on the morning of Monday, October 5, 2020, through its press release on the detection of two new cases of the virus-19, which is a case of import and there is no new cure.

According to the Ministry of Health, the two new positive Kovid-19 viruses are:

A 27-year-old French man, located in Wat Damnak village, Sala Kamroeuk commune, Siem Reap city, Siem Reap province, was traveling from France via Singapore on a flight to Cambodia on September 20, 2020.

A 34-year-old Indian woman was staying at a hotel in Phnom Penh on a flight from Delhi, India on September 20, 2020. After the first negative test result, she continued to do quarantine at the above hotel for 14 days, and her two younger siblings also had quarantine in a separate room from her. Then, on the 13th day of her quarantine, which is October 3, 2020, she was diagnosed with Covid-19 and was sent to the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital. Her younger brother and children were also sent to the hospital for further quarantine.

 

Please be informed that as of 07:00 on Monday, October 5, 2020, Cambodia has identified a total of 280 people infected with Covid-19 (56 women and 224 men), of which the total number of recovered patients throughout the country. There were 275 cases (54 females and 221 males) and the number of people hospitalized increased to 5.
