The Kingdom to Prepare for ASEM Meeting in Mid November
National Police Commissioner General Neth Savoeun led a meeting with relevant authorities to disseminate plans for safety and security measures for the 13th Asia-Europe (ASEM) Summit to be held on November 16 and 17 in Phnom Penh under the theme “Strengthening Multilateralism for Shared Growth.”
More than 10,000 police officers will be located in targeted areas to ensure public order and security.
Seven side events will be held concurrently, including the Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting, the Asia-Europe Economic and Business Forum, the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) Young Leaders Summit, the ASEF Editors’ Roundtable, the Asia-Europe Labor Forum, the Asia Europe People’s Forum, and the ASEM Cultural Festival.
ASEM is a platform that provides Cambodia with many opportunities to accelerate and deepen its regional and global integration.
“The upcoming 13th ASEM Summit is the largest historical and diplomatic event for us,” said Cambodia Prime Minister Hun Sen.
