2020 National Triathlon Championship To Be Reorganised Next Week
The National Triathlon Championship 2020 will be reorganised from Jan. 20 to 22 in Kep province.
The update was shared recently by Mr. Ngin Sokpanha, Secretary General of Cambodia Triathlon Federation (CTF), adding that the event aims to further develop the capacity of Cambodian athletes for the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam and the 2023 SEA Games hosted by Cambodia.
The federation will apply the SEA Games standard for this tournament to be divided into three subjects: the triathlon with 750 metres swimming, 20 kilometres cycling, and 5 kilometres running; the duathlon with 5 kilometres running, 20 kilometres cycling, and 2.5 kilometres running; and the aquathlon with 350 metres swimming and 2.5 kilometres running.
According to Mr. Ngin Sokpanha, up to now, 50 athletes from 9 clubs and associations have been registered for the challenge, and the registration will roll until Jan. 18. AKP
