Cambodian PM to Attend 2nd P4G Summit in South Korea
Mr. Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will participate in the Second P4G Summit – Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030, at the invitation of Mr. Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea.
According to a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation this morning, the Second P4G Summit will be held virtually on May 31, 2021 in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.
Under the theme “Inclusive Green Recovery towards Carbon Neutrality”, it pointed out, Prime Minister will deliver a substantive statement on the topic of “Inclusive Green Recovery from COVID-19” at the Leaders’ Dialogue Session, which will focus on (1) the need to adjust policies and resources to successfully overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, (2) negative impacts of climate change on security and socio-economic development, and (3) the importance of green recovery for sustainable development.
PM Hun Sen will also share his insightful and practical recommendations with the Summit for resilient and sustainable development for the post COVID-19 crisis, it added.
The P4G, a global initiative launched in 2017, serves as a multilateral venue for government, businesses, and civil society to work together to respond to climate change and achieve the SDGs by providing innovative solutions, said the same source, underlining that the second P4G Seoul Summit will bring together the international community’s collective commitment to build back a better and greener world from the COVID-19 crisis.
