Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the  (NA) of Cambodia, will lead a high-level delegation on an official and friendly visit to Hungary from June 15 to 20, 2025, at the invitation of H.E. László Kövér, Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary.

The visit aims to strengthen the long-standing ties of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the two nations, with a particular focus on advancing parliamentary diplomacy for the mutual benefit of their peoples, said the Cambodian NA.

According to the same source, during her stay in Hungary, Samdech Khuon Sudary will hold bilateral talks with her counterpart H.E. László Kövér and pay courtesy calls on H.E. President Tamás Sulyok and H.E. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

The NA President also plans to meet with Cambodian students currently studying in Hungary.

In addition, Samdech Khuon Sudary will visit various industrial, tourism, and cultural sites in Hungary to help strengthen people-to-people ties and promote cooperation in culture, tourism, trade, and investment—areas of shared interest between the two countries.

Cambodia and Hungary are marking 69 years of diplomatic relations in 2025. Their bilateral ties have grown steadily through high-level exchanges, mutual support, and collaboration across both legislative and executive branches. Notably, the official visit of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister and current President of the Senate of Cambodia, to Hungary in 2019, and the state visit of H.E. János Áder, former President of Hungary, to Cambodia later that year, significantly deepened bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors.
