Cambodia is expected to produce Covid-19 vaccine next year
Cambodia is expected to produce the Covid-19 vaccine next year, said Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian.
Speaking at an inauguration of a road in Prey Veng province today, Ambassador Wang said that the Sinopharm vaccine company in China is cooperating closely with Cambodia’s Ministry of Health to produce the Covid-19 vaccine in Cambodia.
“The is good news and we expect that next year Cambodia can produce the vaccine,” he said.
On November 17, Prime Minister Hun Sen made a formal request through Ambassador Wang seeking an authorisation to produce the Covid-19 vaccine in Cambodia. Khmer Times
