More than 200 individuals and company owners receive environmental protection certificates

More than 200 outstanding individuals and company owners were awarded environmental protection certificates by the Ministry of Environment for their participation in environment conservations.

Environment Minister Say Samal said that the Ministry is working to make the country green.

He said this work requires cooperation from Cambodian citizens and stakeholders. It is in Cambodian history that Cambodians began to realise the potential tourism and eco-tourism sector across the country.

“I would like to thank all outstanding business owners and individuals who work with the Ministry of Environment to protect the environment. Please continue to work with the Ministry of Environment on environmental and natural resources protection,” said Samal.

The move aims at inspiring people from all sectors, whether private or public sector to actively engage in conserving biodiversity, and natural resources.

This year there are 230 certicate awardees including drink-producing companies, mobile phone companies, banks, photographers, singers and schools. Khmer Times
