Four new factories have been licensed by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) for the rollout of their investment project worth US$27.3 million.

The factories are Honglaite Home Handicraft (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Xin Chen Fu Handicraft and Hoseware (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Jiaway Decor Co., Ltd., and Leisger (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.

The newly approved investment projects cover the creation of light bulbs, toys, souvenirs, plywood and furniture, and electric bicycle.

The factories will be located in Svay Rieng and Preah Sihanouk provinces, and expected to create a total of 1,115 jobs for the locals.

Such investment amid the COVID-19 outbreak demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic.
