As of 19th June, Cambodia received more than 9 Millions covid-19 vaccines
With an additional 1 million doses of Sinovac vaccine delivered to Cambodia on the morning of June 19, 2021, the number of vaccines used and those available in Cambodia has increased to more than 9 million doses. They include:
1. Sinovac vaccine ordered from China, 5.5 million doses
2. China’s 3.2 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine
3. Covishield vaccine, which was licensed by AstraZeneca and donated by the World Health Organization through the Covax Facility, amounting to 344,000 doses.
As of June 18, 2021, the total number of people vaccinated nationwide for the first dose was 3,257,857 and the second dose was 2,667,037, which is equivalent to 32.58% of the target of 10 million people.
According to the plan, Cambodia needs 26 million doses of vaccine to vaccinate its 13 million people by the end of 2021 or early 2022.
