Another 1M Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine to Arrive in Cambodia This Month
A total of 1 million more doses of vaccines will arrive in Cambodia in mid-May, announced Prime Minister Hun Sen in a voice message released this morning.
“Some 500,000 doses will arrive on May 11, and another 500,000 doses on May 15, 2021,” he pointed out.
The new doses will be administered in the Red zones until all people in those high-risk areas get vaccinated, according to the Premier.
At the same time, PM Hun Sen encouraged all concerned parties to do their best to find more vaccines for the people.
Cambodia has so far received over 4 million doses of vaccines: 1.7 million doses of China-donated Sinopharm, 2 million doses of Sinovac bought from China, and 324,000 doses of AstraZeneca/SII (COVISHIELD) via COVAX Facility.
