Sixty-four (64) new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported; the tally increased to 1,124, of which 613 are related to the Feb. 20 Community Event, the current cluster infections in Cambodia.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health issued this morning, the new patients are all locally-transmitted cases including 39 Cambodians, 23 Chinese, and 2 Vietnamese in Phnom Penh capital and the provinces of Preah Sihanouk, Kandal, Prey Veng and Siem Reap.

At the same time, 11 COVID-19 patients related to the Feb. 20 incident have been successfully recovered, including 8 Chinese, 2 Vietnamese, and a Cambodian. They all have been allowed to be discharged after being tested negative twice consecutively.

The total recovered cases in the Kingdom therefore rose to 549 with no fatal case.
