Twenty-four (24) new locally-transmitted cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported in Cambodia this morning, announced the Ministry of Health in a press release.

According to the source, the new cases are all connected to the Feb. 20 Community Event. They include 16 Chinese, 4 Vietnamese and 4 Cambodians.

Meanwhile, a COVID-19 patient has recovered. He is a 47-year-old Cambodian migrant worker returning from Thailand on Feb. 18. He has been allowed to be discharged from Banteay Meanchey Provincial Referral Hospital after being tested negative twice consecutively.

 

The tally now increases to 844, of them 340 are connected to the Feb. 20 Community Event, a COVID-19 cluster infection incident in Cambodia. The total recovered patients in the Kingdom stood at 478 with no fatal case.
