Ministry Of Health Allows Restaurants And Shops Related To “Community 28 November Event To Reopen
H.E Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health, on December 27, 2020, said that as advised by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, the Ministry of Health decided to allow all restaurants and shops that were asked to close over the first community outbreak termed as the “Community 28 November event” to reopen as usual from December 27th. The Minister reminded those outlets to as continue to follow the Ministry’s Covid-19 hygiene rules.
After the first outbreak of Covid-19 infection into the community on November 28, 2020, the Royal Government of Cambodia had introduced some urgent and necessary measures including the closure of restaurants and shops visited by suspected infected people.
Tens of thousands of people involved in the “Nov. 28 community” event were tested for the Covid-19 virus, 41 of which were positive, as of December 27, 2020, 37 of the 41 patients had recovered and were discharged from the hospital, while four others were still hospitalized. AKP
