PM Announced to Make Up Khmer New Year Holidays in The 3rd Week Next Month
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen announced the postponed Khmer New Year holidays to 17-21 August 2020, addressing at a visit to Freshwater Aquaculture Research and Development Centre in Peamro district, Prey Veng province on Tuesday.
This year’s Khmer New Year holiday was scheduled for April 13-16, but it was postponed in order to contain the COVID-19 spread. At that time, PM Hun Sen announced to compensate the citizens with five-day holiday when the situation gets better.
As of this morning, Cambodia reported 165 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Most of them are imported cases. Of the total positive cases, 133 (80.61%) have recovered successfully.
