The Government of Japan has decided to extend to the Royal Government of Cambodia the emergency assistance comprising of medical supplies and technical assistance up to US$ 6,320,167 through United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

The decision was shared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in a press release.

The assistance aimed to contribute to international efforts in containing COVID-19 outbreak and especially to prevent the spread of this pandemic in the country, it underlined.

The Royal Government of Cambodia is committed to use the Emergency Assistance to effectively address COVID-19 global health emergency and recover from its economic and social ramifications, as well as to ensure the well-being of Cambodian people,” affirmed the same source.

Cambodia wishes to express its deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation to the Government of Japan for this invaluable emergency assistance,” stressed the press release
