Central lowland areas of Cambodia would face thunder, lightning, and wind gusts this week, according to a forecast shared by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology.

The ministry thus called for attention of people in those areas, especially in the provinces of Banteay Meanchey, Pailin, Pursat, Battambang, Siem Reap, Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear to the above said weather phenomena.

The temperature would decrease gradually with the arrival of the rainy season, added the new weather forecast, pointing out that there would be rain almost all across the country from today until May 19.

From May 13 to 15, it continued, the temperature would vary between 25 and 39 degrees Celsius for the central lowland areas, from 25 to 38 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas in the northeast, and from 25 to 36 degrees Celsius for the coastal areas.
