British COVID-19 Patient to be Transferred to Phnom Penh
Kampong Cham provincial authorities said today that a 65-year-old British woman who tested positive for COVID-19 will be transferred to a Phnom Penh hospital for treatment.
Provincial Hall administration spokesman Chea Krouch said today that authorities are now contacting the British embassy in Phnom Penh to cooperate so that she can be sent to the capital.
“We will send her to have treatment in Phnom Penh,” he said. “The hospital here is lacking toilet for disabled people and the patient is disabled.”
He said that only 58 passengers and crew members remain on board.
He said that two are admitted to the hospital and two crew members—one Vietnamese and another Cambodian man disembarked in Phnom Penh and Kandal province.
“We are now working on that case,” he said. “We are preparing a hotel for them to stay and they will be isolated, meaning that one person stays in a room.”
