On the occasion of the special invitation delivered on the latest developments of the last situation to the nation, on the morning of February 24, 2020, the head of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Samdech Hun Sen, declared that Malaysia must be held accountable to the humanitarian crisis and Cambodian honor after claiming that an American woman was aboard the Westerdam in Cambodia has a new coronavirus or Covid-19.

As Samdech Hun Sen announced this after the results of many reviews, including the US side, were all confirmed as Cambodian tests, no tourists have new coronavirus.

Samdech Hun Sen stressed that the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia’s declaration has made a lot of discrimination, especially from tourists who are blocked and some countries do not allow the plane to take them down.

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my condolences to the behavior of His Excellency Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister, the wife of His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, who has announced that an 83-year-old American woman has Infected with the new coronavirus. This has placed us at a disadvantage, losing our national prestige and dignity,” he said

Prime Minister Hun Sen also stressed, therefore, that “whatever the reason for this, Malaysia is responsible for this humanitarian crisis and Cambodia’s honor.”

According to an excerpt from the US Today newspaper Saturday afternoon, February 22, 2020, CDC spokesman Richard Quartarone made it clear that all passengers on the cruise ship MS Westerdam were thoroughly tested for the virus, COVID-19, and the results were actually “negative”, including an 83-year-old American woman.
