Japan Provides Over US$20 Million To Cambodia For Improvement Project Of Referral Hospitals In Siem Reap
Government of Japan through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has decided to extend some US$20.55 million in grant to Cambodia for the improvement project of referral hospitals in Siem Reap.
JICA and the Cambodian Ministry of Economy and Finance signed the grant agreement on Oct. 26.
According to a JICA’s press release, the project will take place from September 2021 to June 2023.
The two-year project is aimed to rehabilitate Siem Reap Provincial Hospital and four district hospitals and upgrade medical equipment in these hospitals, which could contribute to improving the quality of health care services and expanding the health coverage in the region under the collaboration between the Ministry of Health and JICA Cambodia Office.
