Cambodian and Thai police to hold 2nd meeting on combating Cross-Border Crimes and Human Trafficking in October 2025

Phnom Penh, October 3, 2025 – The Cambodian National Police and the Royal Thai Police are set to convene their second meeting to review and discuss the action plan for bilateral cooperation in preventing and combating cross-border crimes, including cyber-related offenses and human trafficking. The meeting is scheduled to take place in October 2025, according to a press release issued on October 2, 2025, by the General Commissariat of the National Police under the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The General Commissariat of the Cambodian National Police has already extended an official invitation to the Royal Thai Police to attend the meeting, which is planned for October 13, 2025, in Battambang Province, with Cambodia hosting. This follows Thailand’s earlier notification of its inability to participate in the previously scheduled second meeting on September 26, 2025.
This upcoming meeting between the two police forces will build on the consensus reached during the first Cambodia-Thailand meeting held on September 16, 2025, in Sa Kaeo Province, Thailand. It is also in line with the spirit of the First Special Meeting of the General Border Committee (GBC), convened on September 10, 2025, in Koh Kong Province, Cambodia.
