Prime Minister Praises Bravery and Sacrifice of Cambodian Soldiers
AKP | Phnom Penh, July 27, 2025 — Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has praised the bravery and sacrifice of Cambodian soldiers and police forces who are actively defending the nation’s territorial integrity, and expressed his deep condolences over the loss of Cambodian soldiers and civilians resulting from Thailand’s armed attacks.
In a message posted to his official social media platform this morning, the Premier also extended his gratitude to the Cambodian people for their ongoing support and encouragement to the national forces.
“Please continue to uphold the spirit of national unity, as one Cambodia, to defend the integrity of our territory,” he wrote.
Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed the Royal Government’s commitment to assisting displaced citizens and facilitating the return of Cambodian workers from Thailand. He noted that the government has taken urgent and necessary measures since the outbreak of Thailand’s armed aggression on July 24, 2025.
For those evacuated from conflict zones, he explained, the National Committee for Disaster Management is working in collaboration with relevant ministries, institutions, and provincial administrations to provide safe shelters, food, accommodation, and healthcare services. The Ministries of Economy and Finance and Health are also coordinating efforts to address practical needs and ensure the livelihoods and well-being of the displaced population.
Regarding the large-scale return of Cambodian workers from Thailand, the Prime Minister noted that relevant ministries, armed forces, and the seven provincial administrations along the border have facilitated their border crossing and arranged temporary shelters where necessary.
The Ministry of National Defence, the Royal Cambodian Army, and the Phnom Penh Municipality, in coordination with border provinces, have arranged transportation to return the workers to their home provinces.
Additionally, provincial and capital administrations, together with national working groups assigned to the provinces, have been working to receive and support the returning workers within their respective areas of responsibility. By C. Nika
