Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has instructed relevant ministries, institutions, and the seven provincial administrations bordering Thailand to provide all necessary services and coordination to support Cambodian workers returning from Thailand.
In a special voice message released this morning, Samdech Thipadei directed H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to instruct the Royal Embassy of Cambodia and consuls general in Thailand to simplify procedures and facilitate the return of Cambodian workers.
H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, was also tasked with informing returning workers about available employment opportunities in the country.
At the same time, the Ministry of Interior, its General Department of Immigration, and the seven concerned provincial administrations are required to prepare transport services to help returning workers travel from the border to their hometowns.
Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed that every Cambodian citizen is welcome to return home, regardless of whether they possess official Cambodian documents.
