Bollywood star praises Angkor, says that he will encourage Indian tourists to visit

Famous Bollywood star Gagan Malik has highlighted the richness of Cambodian tourism – as well as the peace, political, security, public order, and social realities in Cambodia.

On a visit to Cambodia’s iconic Angkor, Mr Malik stated ‘Attended Buddhist culture and Heritage forum 14th and 15th March 2025 in Siem Reap , Cambodia where many countries participated.

It is organised by Tourism authority of Cambodia to promote the tourism. I personally visited Angkor Wat and other Buddhist Heritage sites. I believe it’s extraordinary beautiful. Cambodia is beautiful, people are very nice and hospitable. A place for a must visit.’

During his visit, Mr Malik met with Minister of Tourism Huot Hak, and stated ‘Had a wonderful discussion with the Honourable Minister of Tourism Cambodia Mr. HUOT HAK. Discussion of strengthening the bonds between India and Cambodia in terms of Tourism. Ministry of tourism is very supportive for the Indian Tourists. Soon we will try our best to bring Indian Tourists to Cambodia to see the most famous Angkor Wat and many other beautiful places.

He won the Best Actor Award in the World Buddhist Film Festival organised by the United Nations for his role as Prince Siddhartha in the Sri Lankan Sinhala film Sri Siddhartha Gautama.

Malik is also known for his leading role as lord Rama in Ramayan.
