France Welcomes Cambodia–Thailand Joint Decision on Border Demining

Phnom Penh – France has welcomed the progress made during the 10 September meeting of the General Border Committee between Cambodia and Thailand, encouraging both sides to continue dialogue and cooperation in order to uphold the ceasefire. The statement was made by the France Embassy in the Kingdom of Cambodia on its official Facebook page on September 16, 2025.

In particular, France expressed its support for the joint decision by the two countries to undertake demining operations along their shared border.

France also reiterated its full support for Malaysia, as ASEAN Chair, in its efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
