KOH KONG, Cambodia – The Ministry of National Defense announced that the 1st Special Meeting of the General Border Committee (GBC) officially commenced on the morning of September 10, 2025, in Koh Kong province, with Cambodia serving as host.

The Cambodian delegation is led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, General Tea Seiha, who also co-chairs the GBC. The Thai delegation is headed by General Nattaphon Nakphanit, Acting Minister of National Defense of Thailand and co-chairman of the GBC.

According to the Ministry’s spokesperson, the meeting focuses on reviewing the implementation of the 13-point Agreed Minutes reached during the extraordinary GBC session held on August 7, 2025, in Malaysia.

The spokesperson expressed confidence that this special session will produce constructive results, reinforcing both nations’ commitment to fully and effectively implementing the ceasefire, thereby paving the way for peace, stability, and a return to normalcy along the Cambodia-Thailand border at the earliest opportunity.
