Royal order highlights national unity and leadership in face of external threats
His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has issued a royal order delegating his Head of the Supreme Privy Council to liaise with the Cambodian Prime Minister on matters concerning national defence and military coordination.
The royal order, issued in accordance with the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia, comes in response to what the King described as a grave violation of Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by the Thai military.
While authorising the coordination between the Head of the Supreme Privy Council, Hun Sen, and the Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, His Majesty expressed profound gratitude and admiration for the bravery and dedication of Cambodia’s armed forces.
He commended their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation and praised the strong sense of national unity prevailing among Cambodians under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet.
His Majesty the King also highlighted the Prime Minister’s notable accomplishments across military, diplomatic, political, and legal fronts.
This royal order reaffirmed the King’s absolute trust for the top Cambodian leaders in safeguarding national sovereignty and unity during times of external threat. AKP
