One Immediate Family Member of Wounded or Disabled Soldiers and Police Personnel to Be Granted a Position, Spokesperson

During a press conference held at the Peace Palace, Office of the Council of Ministers, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Her Excellency General Maly Socheata, Spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, affirmed that one immediate family member of any soldier or military police officer who is wounded or disabled during the current operations will be eligible to receive a government position as a form of support.

Her Excellency emphasized: “For the military and police personnel operating in the front line and the family of the fallen, wounded, and disable personnel, the Royal Government will implement a budget plan for the fallen, wounded, and disable personnel Samdech Prime Minister Hun Manet has appointed the Ministry of National Defense and relevant ministries to consider a special budget plan for the military and national police personnel that are deployed to protect our national territorial integrity for the fallen and disabled soldiers and policemen that cannot continue their active service”.

On behalf of the Ministry of National Defense, Her Excellency General Maly Socheata pledged: “The Royal Government will provide the position that previously served by their fallen or disabled to their immediate family member”.
