This ceasefire officially came into effect at midnight, 00:00 hours, last night.”, H.E. Pen Bona stated.
He emphasized that the Royal Government of Cambodia considers this agreement a vital mechanism for preserving peace between the two nations, as well as for ensuring regional stability. He reaffirmed the importance of respecting the agreement, stressing:
“Once again, the Royal Government of Cambodia considers the ceasefire agreement to be of paramount importance and calls for its full and effective implementation. This is not only to safeguard peace between Cambodia and Thailand but also to ensure the long-term sustainability of peace throughout the region.”

2. An informal meeting of regional military commanders (Thailand’s Military Regions 1 and 2, and Cambodia’s Military Regions 4 and 5) scheduled for 07:00 on July 29, 2025. If mutually agreed upon, further meetings with ASEAN-led Joint Military Liaison Teams will follow.
