June 23, 2025 — Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, paid a visit this afternoon to 1,282 displaced families—totaling 3,850 individuals—at the Wat Po 5000 safety centre in Kulen Thbong village, Kulen Thbong commune, Kulen district, Preah Vihear province.
According to the Prime Minister’s social media post, the visit aimed to inspect the temporary living conditions of citizens who voluntarily moved from high-risk border areas to the safety centre.
Samdech Thipadei expressed sincere appreciation to the provincial leadership, civil servants, armed forces, and all relevant institutions in Preah Vihear for their dedication and swift response in assisting citizens displaced from Choam Khsan district.
“This reflects a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to citizen safety,” he emphasised.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Royal Government’s unwavering stance in protecting national interests, upholding national sovereignty, and resolving border disputes through peaceful means in accordance with international law.
In this regard, he added, bringing the four contentious areas, namely Mom Bei and the temples complexes of Ta Moan Thom, Ta Moan Tauch and Ta Krabei, to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) is the most effective way to ensure a fair, peaceful, and lasting resolution in the best interest of current and future generations of Cambodians.
