MPTC Minister and U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Discuss Digital Government Transformation

Cambodian Minister of Post and Telecommunications H.E. Chea Vandeth received here early this week Mrs. Bridgette L. Walker, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy to Cambodia, and her delegation.

According to the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), during the courtesy visit, H.E. Minister briefed Mrs. Walker on the recent progress and key achievements of MPTC.

The two sides discussed key topics, including the digital government transformation and institutional modernisation; and the initiative to establish a digital park, the community tech centres, and digital technology centres.

The development of digital human resources; and the implementation of digital government products, such as the document verification platform verify.gov.kh, the unified platform DG SuperApp, and other products were also among the key topics of discussion.

Furthermore, the meeting touched upon the recent official visit by the ministry delegation to Plug and Play, a company based in Silicon Valley, United States.

Concluding the meeting, H.E. Minister and Mrs. Chargé d’Affaires reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
