Cambodia-China troops conduct charity initiative during Golden Dragon 2025 joint military exercise

As part of the ongoing Golden Dragon 2025 joint military exercise, troops from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and China’s People’s Liberation Army organised a humanitarian activity on May 19 to support communities in Kampong Chhnang province.

Military personnel from both nations distributed essential school supplies and sports equipment to students at Taing Khmao Lower Secondary School in Samaky Meanchey district.

The effort underscored the Chinese military’s commitment to fostering goodwill and solidarity with Cambodian youth.

In a parallel initiative, a joint medical team provided complimentary health services—including screenings, consultations, and treatments—to residents at Peam Health Centre. Services addressed conditions such as cardiovascular and neurological disorders, respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses, pediatric care, infectious diseases, and general surgical procedures.

The charity activities emphasised the Golden Dragon exercise’s humanitarian focus, reinforcing bilateral cooperation and friendship beyond strategic military collaboration.

By integrating community support with joint training, the exercise highlights the deepening ties between Cambodia and China. AKP
