Two more roads to be constructed in Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh authorities announced that two new roads will be constructed in the capital to reduce traffic congestion and facilitate travel.
Director of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Phnom Penh, Sam Piseth, confirmed on March 16, that this two-lane road is a project of Phnom Penh Capital Administration under the leadership of Phnom Penh Governor Khuong Sreng.
Piseth stated that the construction of the road began on January 2021 and is scheduled to be completed in November 2022. He stated that the roads will be used to relieve traffic congestion from National Road 6 to Victory Boulevard.
The Director said that two roads being currently constructed include the section of the road that runs from National Road 6 to Prek Pnov Bridge and the other road runs from National Road 6 to Prek Ta Kong Bridge.
Drains were also installed at the two roads.
This is part of the new infrastructure program that has been taking place in the city. The Phnom Penh authority have also announced that a new flyover and underpass in Choam Chao will soon be completed. Khmer Times
