Tuol Porn Taley Boeung Sne In Prey Veng Province Listed As Multiple Use Area
The Royal Government of Cambodia has decided to list Tuol Porn Taley Boeung Sne conservation area in Prey Veng province as a multiple use area.
The decision was reflected in a sub-decree signed by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen on Feb. 5 and released to the media recently.
The Tuol Porn Taley Boeung Sne area encompasses a total land surface of 3,557 hectares in Prey Veng provincial city and the districts of Svay Antor, Peam Ro, and Ba Phnom.
The enlisting of the area aims primarily to better protect the environment, biodiversity as well as natural resources there for sustainable use.
Once formalised, the Tuol Porn Taley Boeung Sne multiple use area will be under the management of the Ministry of Environment in collaboration with relevant ministries and institutions, Prey Veng provincial administration, and local communities concerned. AKP
