Fruit orchard Farm in Orussey Kandal Commune, Siem Bok District, Stung Treng Province has planned to plant more than 2,000 sweet guavas in 2020 in response to the guidelines of the Committee for Agricultural Rehabilitation and Development and Sustainability.

In the activity of cultivating guava seedlings at the fruit tree farm, Mr. Sao Meng An, the owner of the farm and the plant technician, stated that: He strives to grow sweet guava to get regular sales to customers and export to markets both local and outside the province.
He said that local farmers have identified sweet guava as a village product to compete in the market and now have a lot of customers. Therefore, farmers come to learn the cultivation techniques, care, and take more seeds to plant on the land with sufficient water source.
Mr. Em Savin, a farmer from Kampong Cham province, acknowledged that fruit trees (sweet guava ) are easier to sell than other industrial crops because traders can not lower the price. He continued: people came to work on this farm. This has been going on for more than three years, learning and gaining labor from the farm owner to make a living without having to work abroad.
Ms. Tem Makara, a fruit seller in O’Pong Moan, Stung Treng City, acknowledged that the sweet guava that farmers grow in Stung Treng and bring to market is easier to sell than other fruits. Because our people know the location of the source of natural cultivation clearly does not affect the health of consumers.
