More Japanese Investments on Industry and Agro-processing Sought
Cambodian Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak has encouraged Japanese investors to invest in the fields of industry and agricultural product processing in Cambodia.
The call was made when he received a delegation of Japanese Business Association of Cambodia (JBAC) at the ministry Thursday.
In the meeting, Mr Sorasak explained the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement of which Cambodia and Japan are members.
The RCEP agreement will create a broader market for Cambodia, and Cambodia is working toward the economic industrialisation in order to create jobs as well as create more value added for local products, he said.
JBAC delegation said Japanese firms are still targeting and injecting more investment to Cambodia and pledged to attract more Japanese investors to Cambodia.
