More Medical Supplies for COVID-19 Prevention from China Arrive in Cambodia
Chinese Defence Ministry has donated more medical supplies for COVID-19 prevention to the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence.
The donation consisting of 12 types of medical supplies arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport on June 2 and the handover-receiving ceremony was presided over H.E. Gen. Nem Sowath, Special Adviser and Director General of the General Department of Policy and Foreign Affairs of Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence and Mr. Li Jinfeng, Military Attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia.
The donation reflected the good ties of friendship between the two countries and their strong solidarity, particularly during this hard time.
As of this morning, a total of 125 COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed in Cambodia, including 54 Cambodians, 40 French, 13 Malaysians, 5 British, 3 Chinese, 3 Vietnamese, 2 Americans, 2 Indonesians, 2 Canadians, and one Belgian. Of them, 123 have been cured successfully.
Since the first case detected in Preah Sihanouk province in late January, the COVID-19 pandemic has so far hit 13 provinces and capital of Cambodia.
