Khmer Enterprise and SHE Investments to support MSMEs
Khmer Enterprise (KE), an implementation unit of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund established by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), and SHE Investments, Cambodia’s first and only gender-focused and culturally tailored business incubator and accelerator, have jointly developed the Digital Resource Center for Micro, Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (MSMEs).
The MSME Digital Resource Centre is a platform providing tools, templates, and resources designed for Khmer female entrepreneurs to access business information and support. It will provide access to one-on-one support including virtual coaching, information, resources, and templates which will be free and open-source to download and a range of digital resources including video tutorials, and Facebook live sessions with industry experts.
“These tools, templates, and resources will be developed for Khmer business owners, in Khmer language and relevant to Cambodian context,” said Celia Boyd, Managing Director of SHE Investments.
“They will be relevant to the current situation facing business owners across the country, whether they are formal or informal, and designed to enable those businesses to plan and manage their finances, get advice and support from technical experts and business coaches, and ultimately know that they are not alone during this difficult time,” she said.
Stimulating MSMEs capacity building through digital channels such as this Digital Resource Center is one of the key objectives of Khmer Enterprise, said Dr. Vanmunin Chhieng, CEO of Khmer Enterprise.
“The development of this Digital Resource Center is an important response to support Cambodian entrepreneurs in upgrading their financial management skills, which is crucial for them in making better decisions amid any crisis. This digital center will make the supporting tools, templates, and resources more accessible, convenient, and extensive across the country,” he explained.
